June 17 – July 13, 2027
27 Days | 19 Driving Days
Approximately 5,997 km

Cross an entire continent—from the cool southern shores of Tasmania to the tropical Tiwi Islands—in a safari-prepared Porsche.
Trans-Australia is a fully supported, invitation-only driving expedition created for those who want to experience Australia far beyond its familiar landmarks. Over 27 extraordinary days, participants will travel through Tasmania, South Australia, the Red Centre, the Australian Outback, Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land before reaching the remote northern coast.
This is not simply a road trip or traditional automotive rally. It is a demanding transcontinental adventure built around precision, navigation and teamwork—not speed. Participants drive independently during many stages, while the group remains together through the most remote and challenging sections.
Gravel roads, red dust, river crossings, isolated cattle tracks and seemingly endless horizons are all part of the experience. So are exceptional lodges, memorable meals, distinctive wilderness camps and the friendships formed while accomplishing something very few travelers—and even fewer Porsche drivers—will ever experience.

From your arrival in Tasmania until your departure in northern Australia, every detail is coordinated by the experienced Beyond Adventure team.
Your expedition includes:
Even while driving independently, you'll always have the reassurance that expert assistance is never far away.

Trans-Australia is designed around specially prepared KALMAR Beyond Adventure and safari-style Porsches engineered to travel far beyond conventional roads.
The participating collection includes extraordinary Porsche builds based on:
These are not display cars. They are purpose-built machines prepared for gravel, corrugation, dust, water crossings and long-distance travel through some of Australia’s most isolated terrain.
Each Porsche becomes part of the expedition story. Over nearly 6,000 kilometers, drivers develop a genuine connection with their vehicle as they move from Tasmania’s winding tarmac and coastal roads to the deep-red tracks of the Australian Outback.
Before departure, participants receive practical instruction in basic vehicle repairs and safety procedures. This preparation offers a deeper understanding of the cars and makes every driver a more capable member of the expedition team.
Trans-Australia is not a high-speed race, a conventional luxury tour or a procession of cars following a guide. It combines the spirit of the world’s great overland expeditions with the engineering, character and unmistakable presence of Porsche.
The rally-style competition rewards precision rather than speed. Drivers navigate independently, complete carefully designed stages and compete in classic rally challenges while remaining supported by an experienced expedition team.
What makes this journey truly exceptional is its contrast. One evening may be spent beside a campfire beneath an immense Outback sky; another may be enjoyed at one of Australia’s most celebrated wilderness lodges. Participants will travel by Porsche, ferry, train and private aircraft as they cross the country from south to north.
The Trans-Series is also strictly limited and invitation-only. Each route is created as a one-time journey and is not repeated, making every edition a genuinely singular experience.

The expedition begins in Hobart, Tasmania, where participants meet the team, prepare their vehicles and learn essential safety and bush-repair skills.
The first driving stages follow portions of the legendary Targa Tasmania route, combining winding mountain roads, forests, coastal scenery and vineyard country. From northern Tasmania, the Porsches cross to mainland Australia aboard the Spirit of Tasmania ferry.
The journey then continues through Victoria and toward Adelaide, with a restorative two-night stay in South Australia’s renowned wine country. From Adelaide, participants and vehicles board The Ghan for an extraordinary rail journey into Australia’s Red Centre.
After arriving in Alice Springs, the expedition continues to Uluru, followed by some of its most demanding stages: the Tanami region, Lake Mackay, Lake Gregory and the remote tracks leading toward the Kimberley.
The route then reaches Bullo River Station before continuing through Kakadu National Park and into Arnhem Land, an extraordinary Aboriginal region accessible only with special permission.
The final Porsche stage leads to Darwin, where private aircraft carry the group to the Tiwi Islands for two final nights of relaxation, celebration and reflection.

Some journeys are measured in miles. Others are measured by the stories you'll tell for the rest of your life.
Trans-Australia is one of those rare expeditions that few will ever experience—a remarkable crossing of one of the world's last great frontiers from behind the wheel of a safari-prepared Porsche.
